    Our Beliefs & Values

At CFC, our aim is to honor Jesus in every arena of our lives. Our beliefs and values are firmly rooted in the scriptures, and our goal is to help people discover a personal relationship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

    The Eternal God

We believe that there is One God revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is ultimately and eternally manifest and visible in the person of Jesus Christ. We are to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. This is the greatest of all commandments.
    Scriptures: Mark 12:28-33; Colossians 1:15; I Timothy 3:1

    The Bible’s Authority

We believe the Bible was inspired by God and is our supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
Scriptures: II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 3:16-17

    God’s Salvation Plan

We believe that all persons are sinners by nature and by choice, and that God freely offers salvation to all who obey the gospel.
Scriptures: Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; II Thessalonians 1:8-9

    The Church

We believe that the Church was God’s idea, founded by Jesus Christ, and is to be a significant part of every believer’s lifestyle.
    Scriptures: Matthew 16:18; Hebrews 10:25

    Miracles, Signs, and Wonders

We believe in the present day supernatural ministry of the Holy Spirit.
    Scriptures: Acts 2:16-18; I Cor. 12:1-11; Heb. 13:8

    Issues of Conscience

We believe that each and every individual is responsible to God for their own practices of faith and matters of conscience while at the same time respecting the same of their brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus though perhaps differing from our own.
Scriptures: Philippians 2:12; Romans 14:1 (The Living Bible)

    The Resurrection
    and Eternal Judgment

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the unsaved. The first resurrection includes those who have lived for Christ. The second resurrection will occur 1,000 years later for all who have not lived for Christ. The saved will be resurrected to eternal life and the unsaved to eternal damnation.
    Scriptures: Daniel 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 15:20-24; 35-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:9-18; Revelation 20:6-15

    Frequently Asked Questions

If I visit, will I be singled out?

Warm and friendly people will greet you as you walk through the doors of CFC. Our hospitality team has a special gift for you as our way of saying thank you for visiting. In our services, we promise not to embarrass you by asking you to stand, say anything, or otherwise be made to feel uncomfortable. Find a seat, experience a friendly atmosphere, and enjoy the service.

What are your weekend services like?

Each weekend at Christian Family Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant teaching to help you growth in your faith. We encourage you to sing and participate in a way that makes you feel comfortable.

    What should I wear?

Come as you are. We are interested in you–not how you dress. Many in our congregation wear jeans, some dress up more, but we want you to just be you!

    How long are your services?

Our Sunday morning worship services are usually 70 minutes. About 20 minutes is given to worshipping God in song, followed by announcements, a teaching from the Bible, communion, receiving the morning’s tithes and offerings and, at the conclusion of the service, prayer teams will be available at the altar should you need personal prayer.

    What about my children?

The safety, concern, and spiritual growth of your children is our main priority for children’s ministry. We provide child-care during all of our services with qualified teachers, and a safe and secure children’s check in system. Nursery through Kindergarten meet weekly during the entire service, while 1st—6th graders attend Children’s Church and 7th—12 graders attend Teen Church following worship. We dismiss children to their classes after the singing portion of our worship service. One of our team members will help you find your child’s class.

    Do families ever sit together?

Quarterly we have a family service on the 5th Sunday. Children’s church (1–6th grades), and Teen Church (7–12 grades) join their parents during the entire adult service, beginning to end. Children’s classes are available for age 0–Kindergarten during the entire adult service.

At our Edina Campus, our Spanish and English congregations come together for this combined service.

Will I be asked to give money?

No. Any offerings you may give are completely your decision. If you would like to donate, you may do so on our giving page.

    How do I fit in?

We will provide you with the opportunities and resources to grow in your faith and understanding of God’s plan for your life. To learn more about Christian Family Church, we recommend that you attend one of our Life Groups that meet weekly or every other week. You can become as involved as you choose. Our focus is becoming a life-giving church where everyone can find their place.

Will I be contacted or placed on a mailing list?

The pastor customarily contacts any first-time guests to thank them for attending, should you choose to fill out a connect card during the service. The connect card asks for your contact information and any prayer needs you may have. If you choose to fill it out, we will contact you. The connect card is also our way to pray for you by name. Any information you give us via the children’s ministry or by check/credit card giving will be placed on our mailing list to inform you of upcoming events.
